OVERVIEW

Alpha Epsilon Delta is a nationally recognized honor society for pre-professional health students with over 144,000 national memberships. The Ohio Alpha Chapter, located at The Ohio State University, is among 186 chapters nationwide, 36 in the central region, and 8 in Ohio.

The society is currently led by national president Sovent Taylor, Ed.D., representing the University of Mississippi until 2022. Its National Office is situated on Texas Christian University campus in Fort Worth and responsible for national membership applications as well as administering scholarships to students who show exceptional dedication and involvement within their chapters and the society at large.

Alpha Epsilon Delta is affiliated with the Association of College Honor Societies and maintains strong ties with the American Association of Medical College, on top of numerous prominent American associations.

MEMBERSHIP

National members

  • Being recognized through the national office as an official member of the honorary society

  • Fully apply and receive induction into the honorary society

  • Past the 3rd semester at OSU with a minimum 3.3 cumulative GPA and BCPM

  • Must pay a one-time $75 national membership fee*, sent in with the provided application form directly to the national office. Upon approval, a national membership is guaranteed for life as long as academic is in good standing

​*Our organization understands the difference in accessibility of our members, and thus does not want such burden to restrict an applicant's desire to be a nationally recognized member of AEΔ. ​If the fee pauses a concern, please contact Dr. A or any of our Executive Board members so we can discuss options with you!​​

  • Not being recognized by the national office as an official member of the honorary society as not apply to the national office to be a member

  • Past the 3rd semester at OSU

  • Paid $10 fee

Initiates

  • Not yet past the 3rd semester at OSU

  • Active within the organization and intend to apply for national membership

  • Paid $10 fee

The official publication of Alpha Epsilon Delta is where each AEΔ chapter article writes and submits an article summarizing organization activities over a school year. It takes place twice a year in the fall and spring. Check out the latest report here!

Alpha Epsilon Delta holds a convention every 2 years in different cities throughout the U.S. where all members of all chapters are invited to attend and represent their schools.
